How to make cake at home |
Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 cup of granulated sugar
1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
2 eggs
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8-inch (20 cm) cake pan with butter and dust it with flour to prevent sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy using an electric mixer. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and beat on low speed until well combined. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, and smooth the surface with a spatula.
- Bake the cake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, invert the cake onto a wire rack and let it cool completely before decorating or serving.
- You can decorate your cake with frosting, whipped cream, fruits, or any other toppings of your choice.
